About the Department
Department of History gives the opportunity for the students of Tourism to explore a wide range of historical periods by offering two papers like Indian Monuments and Indian Cultural Heritage. The syllabus covers the geographical locations from Europe to Asia enables the students to be aware of the Political, Economic, Social, Cultural and Religious facets. Caters to the needs of the employment and contributes to understand the Historical Heritage prevailing in the Union Territory of Pondicherry partially and India to the fullest. For a decade the Department had trained students of about seven hundred through Seminars, Assignments and Tests on various topics interrelating the products of tourism.
